In our effort to impact the world of those struggling with memory impairment, we have definitely found ourselves supported by a strong foundation of an experienced board from across the healthcare industry landscape. Q: What inspired you to join the MapHabit™ team?
A: I have an interest in using technology to make it easier for people to keep track of information. MapHabit™ combines interests in patient care, medical data and technology to simplify life for people.
I have known Dr. Zola for over 15 years since he came to Emory. Over the past several years, before he started MapHabit™, we had multiple conversations related to integrating technology into memory care. I was excited when he approached me to see if my clinical & informatics expertise could be leveraged to get MapHabit™ off the ground.
Q: How do you foresee MapHabit™ helping people?
A: I anticipate the MapHabit technology making it easier for care providers and individuals living with dementia to keep track of every day activities and lower their stress levels.
Q: How does your experience impact MapHabit’s™ success?
A: I am a physician scientist who works with patients and also has a deep appreciation for informatics and technology. Plus, developing easy to use, web-based tools to facilitate communication is one of the things I enjoy the most.
