Study Goals

The study aims to improve your day-to-day life and will examine the benefits of the MapHabit System and Care Partner Training Program (CTP) for both the individual with cognitive impairment and their care partner.

MapHabit is a dementia education, cognitive engagement and habit building platform to help care partners provide the best support for individuals with mild cognitive impairment or dementia.

MapHabit's science-based, innovative CTP offers educational and self-care training to care partners to reduce their burden of caring for someone with dementia or mild cognitive impairment.

What to Expect

We are looking for individuals in a direct care partner relationship (spend at least 8 hours or more per week) with an individual who has mild cognitive impairment or is in the mild to moderate/mid-stage diagnosis of dementia. WiFi access is needed to participate.

The Care Partner Training Program consists of 4 modules:

  1. Introduction to MapHabit
  2. Well-Being for You and Your Loved One
  3. Care Partner Information to Help Support Well-Being
  4. Brain Changes and Procedural Memory

You will have one optional coaching session with one of our Dementia specialists during each module. During this time, the MapHabit team member can provide you with additional tips for navigating your role as a care partner, and they can also provide assistance in personalizing your MapHabit account and/or solving any technical issues.

These meetings will be approximately 30 minutes long, and the frequency of the meetings will vary based on what you, the individual you are supporting, and the MapHabit team member feel is optimal.
